Connect to epson Xp-205

Hi.

I've just purchased a new epson xp-205 printer . After hours of trying , I still cannot connect my ipad or iPhone to it . I don't own a lap top or pc , so thought this would simply connect to my devices . Can anyone help me please .

Thanks

I have the same problem (a little different although.

My XP205 worked well till I update the Wi-Fi password of my router for security reason.

So I reset the printer (shut down, keep press "i" and press power on for 5 seconds (both keys) , than release both keys).

My printer now is not configured with any WiFi net (just printed with "i"the network sheet)

But there's no way also with WPS to pair it with 3 mac and 1 ipad!

After a lot of blinking (orange/green etc) onl;y the orange blink to the infinite....

i need to send the config to that printer, and I don't want to do this with a PC (windows).

Ideas ?

Tx in advance

The higher-spec Epson printers have an LCD front panel which allows you to connect your printer to the WiFi network without needing a computer.

As the XP-205 doesn't have an LCD Front Panel to configure WiFi, you need to have the printer connected via a USB cable to a computer (any computer, as long as it has the printer driver installed from Epson Support) to connect it to your WiFi Router. You have to install the drivers, then connect the printer with USB, then select to set it up as a WiFi connection during the driver configuration. It will then send the network settings to the printer from the computer and allow it to connect to your router. If your router needs you to press a pairing button to connect new devices (like the old Liveboxes from Wanadoo) don't forget to press it before selecting to set up via WiFi!

Once it's connected to your WiFi it can be disconnected from the computer and the iPad / iPhone will pick it up when you tap Share > Print using the built-in AirPrint protocols. The iPad / iPhone won't connect direct to the printer without a WiFi Router fielding and directing the traffic unfortunately.
