I downloaded SMCfancontrol to see how it worked, but I want it completly gone off my system with no trace left behind whatsoever. How can I do this? Any help would be appreciated.

First, quit smcFanControl in the menu bar. Then, open Finder, select Applications in the sidebar and delete smcFanControl. Finally, reset the SMC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 When you reset the SMC, fans will be resetted to factory settings, so it will undo changes you did with smcFanControl
I can not even find smcFanControl in the Applications folder
In that case, you didn't copy smcFanControl to Applications folder. Have you looked in Downloads folder?
No, I didnt, oops. the folder for SMC is in my downloads folder
