Applying effects before or after?

When colour correcting in Color 1.5.3 are you able to import the movie back into Final Cut 7 if you have been applying effects (ex. motion, sharpening, etc...) at the same time in Final Cut?

No.

Don't work that way.

Do your cut.

Send the cut to Color.

Color Correct and send back to FCP

THEN do moves, motion, sharpening etc.

OR

Do all the moves, motion, sharpening in FCP and bake them into the clip THEN send it to Color.

AND

Make sure you are sending ProRes files from FCP.

Before you do much in Color, it pays dividends to really understand the section in the Color Manual entitled,

Moving Projects from Final Cut Pro to Color
