"Operation Could not Be Completed" when using Airplay on all devices.

Hello,

A few days ago I ran into the issue with airplay where when you start mirroring or just streaming from any device (Tested on iPhones 3gs and 4s, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 5g). The error occurs after you select "Apple TV" from the airplay menu, it will wait until you push the play button on your content, or if you are trying to mirror it will display the error "Operation could not be completed" and it will reset to the device (iPad, iPod, iPhone) option on the airplay menu! I have been browsing various support forums looking for an answer for the past few hours and I decided just to post a thread here. If anyone has any solutions please share them.

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

1. Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)

2. Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).

3. Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).

4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.

5. Restart your router.

6. Restart your mobile device.
