i have just registered my new ipod but it doesnt appear in the menu for me to update it with the new music but it has put music into my old ipod....do i need to create a new apple i.d for my new ipod and create a second itunes app??

Hi,

O already have a really old ipod and just had a new one which i have registed today but when i have downloaded the itunes app onto my new laptop i cannot see the new ipod in the menu to update the music i have just purchsed.

Furthermore it seems to have put the new album into my old itunes so once i connect my old ipod i assume it will want to put it on there. I bought a new one as my old ipod is only 4gb and there is no space on it.

Can someone help please?

iPod classic, Windows XP

Registering an iPod or any other iDevice for warranty and support has nothing to do with the device appearing in iTunes. For what silly reason would you expect that to occur????

Honestly, it sounds like you have no clue how to use iTunes or sync media to the devices. Might be a good idea to read the User's Guide for the iPod to understand how to use it.
