Did my camera quit or what?

I have a MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz Intel core 2 Duo, running 10.8.2. Here's the problem. Facetime, PhotoBooth, etc. do not recognize the built-in camera. Worked fine three weeks ago. I don't think there have been any software updates during that time. Any ideas?
