I have a iPad I want to text someone by email and be able to FaceTime this person

I want to text someone and FaceTime I have a iPad and we are using a email to text but is says not connected with iMessage

Messages only works with other iOS devices. You can't text with a regular cell phone or an Android phone user.

The user that you want to message with must already be setup and registered to use Messages on their device or you will not be able to text with them using the messages app.

Same thing applies to FaceTime.
