Why do "mirrored" lines show up on the bottom of my screen when I wake iPad mini up?

Why do "mirrored" lines show up on the bottom of my screen when I wake iPad mini up?

Just got my iPad mini this afternoon. Took it out of the box and as soon as I turned it on these gray, mirrored lines of the clock image, showed up at the bottom. They went away after a few seconds, but keep coming back every time I wake it up from being "asleep". Any ideas what this could be?? The software is up to date and it's synced to my computer. Is it a software or hardware issue? Should I be heading back to the store??

I'm having the same problem, did a re boot and at the min that seams to of fixed it, did you get it fixed in the end? Or did you have to take it back to the shop?

Had the same problem...it cleared up when I used the default Apple backgrounds...might be a image resolution issue with downloaded images...you can try using Apple default backgrounds or images that are iPad mini sized...might resolve the issue :)
