how to change the unlocking security to numbers?

i had set my iphone4s in an audio so it will read me my ibooks. unfortunately, i didnt know this will "talk" including the security lock. when i entered the 4 values, it says "text is editing" it say wrong n im locked. how to change it to numbers?
