Can an Epson Perfection 1260 scanner be installed to a 15" G4 Powerbook? If so, how?

Hello! I am still trying to understand this 15" Powerbook G4 and how somethings work on it. I am used to working with a windows based computer that I have built. What I am trying to do is to install the software from an old scanner I have (the only one I have) so that I can upload pictures to it that I have drawn. Does anyone know how to install the software for this scanner to this type of computer? Can it be installed to this computer? If you know that it can be done would you please let me know how? Thank you.

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11), Epson Perfection 1260 software

Hello,

Depends on what version of Mac OS X is installed. You will require classic mode to use this scanner.

Macintosh computer (blue and white G3, G4 or higher, or iMac) running Mac OS 8.6 - 9.2.2, (OS X 10.1.2 Classic mode only*).

Note for Mac OS X users: You can use the scanner only in the Classic mode. If you are using a version earlier than 10.1.2, switch to Mac OS 9 to use the scanner.

You can install the scanner software while in classic mode.

Hope this help.
