Documents don't open once uploaded to iCloud.

I'm having an odd issue. After uploading a document to my iCloud account (Pages, Numbers or Keynote), they won't open again from the Open dialog box. If I want to open them again, I have to log on to iCloud.com, download the document, unzip it and THEN it opens. Any ideas?

(I'm on OSX 10.8.2 and iWork '09 bought through App Store).
