I am expanding my Mac with additional Hard disks. I need to know the size of the screws used to install 3.5" (IDE/SATA) hard disks.
Specifics like thread gauge would be helpful, or even a good place to pick these up online.
Your G5 should have extra mounting screws installed in the case next to the hard drive bay...just waiting for you to use them. If you're replacing your original drive you'll just re-use the screws from the old drive.
The threads are a standard machine screw 6-32. I believe all hard drives have the same size screw holes in the sides for mounting. The Apple drive screws have a special head that slides in the drive carrier slots.
