Why does my iPod touch 4 keep crashing?

Try rebooting your iPod touch.

You can do this in 2 ways:

1. Hold the sleep button down until you see a red slider at the top, then slide it. Wait until the screen turns off, then hold the button down again until you see the Apple logo.

2. Hold the sleep and home buttons down for 10 seconds.

Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.

Hi Diavonex, I have the same problem. I have an Ipod 4th gen and my certain games on my ipod as well as my safari app consistenly crash. I have known about hard closing apps and turning the ipod off and those helped me out for a while but now my Ipod keeps crashing. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If a reset and reset all settings doesn't work, try backup and setup iPod as new.

Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

If u hold the power and the home button down, it does NOT erase anything!!
