My camera isnt working either it happened after i downloaded the ios 6.1.1 update and the is no camera app on my homescreen

You did not ask a question.

Did you check to see that your restrictions were not on?

Did you reset the home screen layout?

Did you try a reset?

Restore?

Nvm i found that in restrictions i turned off camera hahahah

Same problem with shutter not opening. Tried downloading a different camera app. Still didn't work so I have just done a sync to my laptop, imported all pics from my phone then deleted them off the phone. Camera is now working (touch wood). Had 240 pics on there but guess memory couldn't cope!

Having same problem with camera for iPad and this problem seems to also affect Facetime. I can see others but no video on my end. I tried EVERYTHING posted. Problem definitely seems rooted in the camera. Any ideas other than restoring, syncing, toggling Facetime, holding down home and power button?

My camera stopped working with the OS7 update. Help. I reset and that did not help.

Anyone else? seems related to iOS7 update. only forward mode camera problem. selfie side still works! urgh.

Didnt work for me.

I have a iPhone 4s and noted that when I went into the camera app the screen was black and only the button was visible. I went ahead and rebooted the iPhone and bingo, the camera app was working as expected. To reboot the iPhone I held down on the home button along with the top on/off button simultaneously for about 15 seconds until the apple icon appeared. I then released the buttons and waited about 10 seconds for the iPhone to startup.

I then went into the camera app and all was normal. Hope This Helps.

That would be because as stated in your other post, the iPad 1 does not have a camera.
