After installing the latest update to server app group email addresses stopped working and nothing I have tried has fixed them yet. When I used time machine to roll back to a previous backup of the server mail is now refusing all connections and randomly switching off.
Is there a know issue with time machine and 10.8 server config files
any help would be appreciated at this point.

Did you roll back the entire server or specific directories? what specifically did you roll back?
The entire server - messing with specific directories wasn't doing anything.
I've since reapplied the latest update and it regenerated the settings and as of late last night it's working again (albiet with some extra work to restore the wiki). I find this particularly odd, since the original problem coincided with installing the update...
