Is there a way to turn Siri off for text notifictiaons only while keeping it on for everything else? It speaks over my cool unique text tones for my incoming family texts.
I think it's voice over and not Siri.
Settings > General > Accessibility >
VoiceOver > OFF
Speak Selection > OFF
Speak Auto-text > OFF
Appreciate the quick reply ckaun. All those things are OFF on my phone. It still speaks over to announce new texts and keeps talking... "should I read"... "mark as read"...
Siri do not read your text unless you want Siri to.
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.
Nope. Still talking over. I doubled checked all the settings. I've had a couple other small gltiches with my phone. Maybe I just need to take it in to the apple store. its brand new.
Yep, make an appointment with the Apple genius, it's easier to diagnose with iPhone in hand.
Appreciate your time and help!
