Messages on iPad & iPhone

Can I set up my iCloud so that I only receive messages on my iPhone instead of both iPad & iPhone?I would still like other apps to update on both,eg:I would still want my numbers app to update on my iPhone when I add info to numbers app on iPad.I just want to receive messages on phone.

Of course. In that case, on your iPhone, open Settings > Messages > Send and Receive, and tick only your phone number (from where you will send and receive your iMessages).

Then, on your iPad, open Settings > Messages > Send and Receive, and untick everything or tick an email address. If you don't tick your phone number, your iPhone conversations won't appear on your iPad
