Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

Hello, and thanks for your post.
I have tried both. I have closed all open apps, and reset the iPad. I have also restored the iPad from a backup, but have not yet restored to factory specs. What do you think, is that the next step? Thanks for taking the time to troublshoot.
If restoring to factory does solve the problem you may have a hardware problem.
Hmmm. That doesn't sound good. If you have a moment, can you tell me why you think that? Just for my own understanding. Thanks again...
Whenever you have multiple Apps crashing one has to suspect that there could be something wrong with the hardware.
There is another possibility: iTunes, App Store, and iBooks all may require access to the network. There could be some sort of network problem/coruption which is underlying the problem.
Try the iPad on some other networks.
Will do. Thanks so much. Have a good one.
