I can't seem to update my softwares on my macbook pro anymore. Everytime I am notified to update my softwares and do so, the computer restarts before the update completes. Is anyone having the same problem? I hope it is not a virus!

I'm trying to update itunes, safari, airport utility and the macbook pro update. A few others are my camera and printer updates but that's not too important to me
If you are logged in from a standard user account log out and log in from an admin account. Then go to the Software Updates and see if you are more successful.
What exactly happens when the computer restarts? Do you get any kind of error message, then or afterwards?

when i try to update the softwares, for example the macbook pro update, i will get a pop-up to restart my computer. Everything continues as it should. But less than halfway through the updating, the computer restarts and i get an error message telling me that the computer was restarted due to some error. When the reboot is complete, i get this log report if it helps:

managed to update my softwares in safe mode. Thank you! so i guess it just means that there are other softwares interfering with the updates
I'm glad things worked out. Do you have 3rd party software installed?
Hopefully, Linc will follow up because he can actually understand a crash log. I'm still on the reverse side of the learning curve on crash logs.
