The phone icon suddenly disappeared from the screen on my iPhone 4. How do I get it back?
I can make calls if I go to my contacts but I can't figure out how to get access to the keypad. I can't imagine how it disappeared. I thought the phone was a default icon that stayed there. Thanks for any suggestions. Help!
OK. After I panicked I did some research and found that I needed to reset the home screen layout.
settings > general > reset > reset home screen
Worked like a charm. I should have searched further in Apple communities before I posted.

My phone icon disappeared and I found that I accidentally had moved it to a folder when I swiped the screen up getting to my flashlight. Once I found the folder, no problem! Hope this might help you.
I don't like resetting homescreen. I bet It will disrupt my groupings.
