Ipad is frozen . Message: iCloud backup -This Ipad has not been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to WIFI. no icons respond ?????

Try this.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I have the same problem except NOTHING works. The screen on the black screen and cannot slide to turn off, to turn on or anything. We haven't backed up for 7 weeks but are on a cruise ship and hadn't been able to connect so we didn't worry about it. Now I can't do ANYTHING!

I've rebooted and still have the same message that the iPad hasn't been backed up in 3 weeks. I've backed up via iTunes but how do I re-enable auto backup via iCloud?
