I am trying to send a file from the FCP timeline to compressor. Easy enough. But I want the exported mov to leave compressor with no timecode attached.
Is there a way to tell compressor NOT to include time code on the export?
In processing an encoding job, Compressor will replace the clip TC with new TC starting at zero.
If you want to get rid of the TC track, that can be done in Quick Time Pro…probably some other apps as well.
Thanks Russ. Is this exclusive to Compressor 4 or can previous versions do that also? Can I choose to strip TC off completely? Last, but not least, is there a way to make TC start wherever I want or does it have to start
at zero? Thanks again!
The only way I know to delete the TC track is using QT Pro.
I don't recall that any of the last 3 versions offered the capability; perhaps it was there and I was unaware of it.
FCP can start TC at some other value. If it is possible in Compressor, I haven't heard of it.
