Sharing to Itunes- Volume Level control

I am doing accapella vocal peices. Each song I mix in Garage Band sounds different in Itunes. I've played with the Advanced setting in Preferences to stop it from Normalizing. Not much difference in the sound from one to another. Itune songs are much hotter. I can not get Garage Band songs to the same volume/intensity.
