why does my macbook keep shutting down?
My Mackbook circa 2009 with the upgraded Lion OS 10.7.5 has been shutting down or before it boots up completely shuts down. Any clues to the problem?

any text on the screen before it shuts down? does a "curtain" drop down and do you see a message in several languages? Or does it just shut down in the middle of something? Also, does it happen only when on battery power, plugged into the wall outlet, or both?
