Keynote on iPad

Hi, I'm trying to access Keynote from my iPad - and it closes down every time I try to open a new presentation. Ive been using Keynote for over 6 months and first time ive had a prob. I've deleted and reloaded Keynote, also there's plenty of space avail on IPad (even more because I deleted pre-existing Keynote presos!). Could it be because I recently updated software on iPad but not phone? Thanks for any suggestions.
