delay in finder showing folder content on USB3.0 and TB devices

Hi all,

since the last OSX update I am experiencing unusal long delays in finder for showing the content of an external disk or folders on my

- various external USB 3.0 disks (Lacie)

- pegasus Thunderbolt R12 RAID

on a current 15" MY 2012 macbook pro.

delays on displaying content can be as long as 1 minute or shorter like 3-6 seconds, but it's annyoing anyway. all this has been there within a second before the Update.

for a cross check there are no such delays with all hardware (except the Thunderbolt RAID I can't use on those machines) on an older lion iMac system in the same office and another mountain lion equipped core2duo 17" macbook pro.

I have not installed any software on the 15" macbook pro since the last OSX upgrade.

What can it be? can I look into somewhere on terminal etc to see what is causing those delays?

Cheers

C

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), MBP 15", 17", iMac 27", iPad, i4s
