I realize there is a lot of Q's on this issue - put simply: a CD ripped to itunes does not contain any artwork nor is there any ability to cut/paste/drag/drop or otherwise as one could with earlier versions of itunes.
IS THIS RIGHT?
If I buy/download from itunes then surprise surpise artwork is inlcuded.
Is there not a solution - please....and thank you!

After you've ripped the CDs, go to File->Library->Get Album Artwork
This will load any album artwork that's in GraceNote.
For any missing artwork, right-click->Get Info on the album. You can drag artwork into the box at the lower right of the "info" tab.
