Apple Cinema Display Flickering, Sound skipping

I purchased a apple cinema display last december (not thunderbolt). I have it connected to a Mac Pro tower (most recent late version late 2010).

I keep getting the screen flickering and sometimes it goes black then comes back on. It also makes a pop noise from the speakers, when i play itunes from it stutters the sound.

I have brought it into Mac 2 times already, and they haven't fixed it yet. I had a third party monitor that worked fine with my mac pro for 2 years. I didn't spend 1200 to have this annoying problem!

Anyone else having this issue?
