When exporting in final cut sharing stays at 0%

I have finished editing a video for web upload using final cut 10.7, the project is fully rendered at ready for export however when I share the file as H264 codec the exporting in background tasks stays at 0%. I would like to know in the simplest terms how I can resolve this issue.

Also is there a way to view an estimated export time like in the earlier final cut versions

Thanks

What is the duration of the Timeline?

What is the format of the video clips on that Timeline?

In the Dashboard (middle of the center tool bar), click the Background Task Progress indicator (round thing with the green progress bar), or use Command-9 to pull up the Background Task window. You can see the status of exports, imports, transcodes, etc, there.

If it doesn't budge from zero, it's likely hung up at the beginning of the encoding process and not reached the upload, which typically starts when the progress bar has exceeded 50%. With a 15 minute video, you should see some progress in the first minute.

First, I'd trash preferences.

Try marking a short range in the middle of your project Time Line with the range tool and selecting whatever Web Upload preset you're using to see whether that range exports. If it does, you may have some funky media elsewhere. If it doesn't export, try the range with the master file Share option. If that doesn't work, try deleting render files. If it still doesn't, create a new empty project and copy the old project Time Line to the new empty project.
