I turned on my macbook and it says it needs to recover the disk
I turned on the macbookpro and it says it needs to recover the disk but there is no disk to recover from. How do I repair the disk?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
Restart while holding both the Command and R keys, that will start from the recovery hard drive...then go to Utilities and Disk Utility and Repair hard drive. See if that is what it wants you to do.
