In Outlook 2010, search for a contact or a calendar event will not return any results from iCloud subfolders (contacts or calendar)

I recently installed iCloud in my Outlook 2010 (Windows 7), so I can sync with my iphones and ipad calendars and contacts. I recently noticed that any new contacts or calendar events that I enter in calendar or contacts under iCloud Folder (in Outlook), will not appear in the search results, when I use Outlook's search bar to search for those contacts or a calendar events. But, after it has syned, when I search for the same items on my iphone, it reurns the correct results.

You have to look into Outlooks search preferences, add the folders you want to include and remove the ones you don't

Thanks for your reply.

I just did that and still the same problem.

Let me put it this way: From the exact date that I installed iCloud, all the data that was transfered from my personal calendar to iCloud calendar will appear in the search results and outlook's reminder pop-up window, but any event or contacts that I created after that date will not.

I just found a workaround for part of my issue.

I made the following setting changes:

1- Outlook Options>Advanced>Outlook Start and Exit (I chose iCloud Calendar)

2- Outlook Options>Search (under Results I checked 'Current Folder' instead of 'All Folders')

Now, in Outlook, if I search iCloud calendar (in 'List' view only), it will bring all results.

---- Note: This method search doesn't like hyphens and things. Just word search.---

That is what I said in my first post:

You can also do it with Contacts
