Please HELP! My ipod will not exit recovery mode. It has the image with the usb cord and itunes logo, it simply will not go away.

What happens when you connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes? That is what the screen in telling your do.
When I connect my ipod to the computer a notice comes up indicated that my ipod is in recovery mode! Which i have no idea how it was in the first place. It says to update the ipod and when i do it, it says restore again, then when i click restore, it redirects be back to update again! What a hassle
Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
