My Mac Isn't Deleting Files From The Trash

Hi everybody.

I hope someone can please help me out, my trash is accumilating. I don't want it.

I never used to have this problem until I recently Updated my Mac. unaware that this would cause a problem.

Whenever I move files to the trash, and delete them, the progress bar only goes up a little bit, then it just sits there. It doesn't freeze, it just sits there.

I can't close it because the trash is being used and I can't close the finder. I have to always force quit. This never happened to me before.

I did recently install an update and then ever since I have been unable to remove anything.

It doesn't even tell me that any of the files are locked. What should I do?

The 10.8.1 to 10.8.2 was just an example, sorry it wasn't clear. What you can do is download (not Software update) the 10.7.5 combo and run it to see if things are corrected.
