Mirroring iPod touch 4g

I have paid 5 dollars USD for an application called AirServer. I want to mirror my iPod to the mac, but when I double tap the home button and swipe twice, then press the recrangle with the arrow going into it, I cannot set the Mac to mirror like on my mom's iPhone where she can slide a switch to mirror to the computer. The application works fine after that, I just don't have a mirroring button. Also, I am updated to 6.1, the most recent update for iPod. Thanks for helping! 🙂

The 4G iPod does not support mirroring.

Form the iOS 6 Users Guide:

Mirror the iPod touch screen on a TV (iPod touch 5th generation): Tap at the left end of the multitasking bar, choose an Apple TV, then tap Mirroring. A blue bar appears at the top of the iPod touch screen when AirPlay mirroring is turned on. Everything on the iPod touch screen appears on the TV.
