iTunes store does not display my cover art

I have created a podcast and it shows up in iTunes Store, but the channel's cover art does not.

Can someone shed some light on this?

Here is the RSS feed: http://zach.in.tu-clausthal.de/podcast/feed.rss

And here is the link in the iTunes store: https://itunes.apple.com/de/podcast/marchen/id604406418?l=en&mt=2

The relevant part in the RSS file is this probably:

<itunes:image href="http://zach.in.tu-clausthal.de/podcast/Hausmaerchen.png" />

I have searched the web and this forum, but none of the posts I found seem to pertain to my case ...

Any hints and pointers will be appreciated.

Best regards,

Gabriel.

The image which appears in the Store is referenced in the feed; but the images which appear when you subscribe and select an episode are not - they have to be actually embedded in the episode's media file. Please see this page for full details:

Thanks a lot for your response!

The web page did help quite a bit.

I can see the channel's cover art fine in iTunes store and it also shows in iTunes.

However, I still have one problem: iTunes does not show the cover art of the episode.

When I click on the episode in iTunes, and then do 'Get Info' , I see only the cover art of the channel.

But I did embed the episode's artwork using iTunes, before I published it, and it shows fine in iTunes when I 'Get Info' on the track.

You can check it here: http://zach.in.tu-clausthal.de/podcast/Allerleirauh.mp3

I'm not sure what you're expecting to see. When playing the episode on subscribing, the image shows:

User uploaded file

and doing a 'get info' confirms that it is the same image. I downloaded the file from the link in your post above and checked the tags:

User uploaded file

- same result (as you'd expect). If you were expecting to see something else, it's not anywhere to be found.

Only you can decide whether you want individual images for the episodes or an overall one - you may feel that individual images add a little extra to it, and I don't think it will worry subscribers.

Podcasts with chapters and an image for each chapter have to be 'enhanced' and m4a, you can't do it with mp3. If you would like to see it in action, you could subscribe manually (from the File menu in iTunes 11 or the Advanced menu in 10 and earlier) to my podcast:

Download the top episode, start playing it, then click on the small image in the top of the window (next to the progress bar) to open the larger display with the changing images.
