Java is still version 7

After following the steps to downgrade my Java, I am still told I am running version 7. Please help

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Those steps only allow you to re-enable the Apple-provided Java SE 6 applet plug-in and Web Start functionality. Is that what you are trying to do?


Assuming you did have Java SE 6 installed at some point in the past, both Java 6 and Java 7 will be installed.


Is it a web site that is telling you you are running version 7 or something else?

Java is still version 7
