so when i have my ipod plugged into the chargers for a while, i take it out and after a minutes it shuts off and the screen shows the no battery sign with a plug and lightning bolt. why wint it charge???

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.
Make sure iPod is charged.
its not charging though! like its out of battery but it shouldnt be
