Yes, but it will be very expensive to buy for many years. Right now one 3.33GHz 6-core CPU costs $1300. By the time the CPU's market price has dropped below $500 it will be several (more) years obsolete.
Get the CPU you want when you buy the machine.
W3680 are $620 it is 5680's that cost... and you need 2 for $3000 total
W3680 is for mid-2010, not 2012.
So, the Mobo for 2010 and 2012 are different? Getting a little cofused here. I thought they all used the same socket.
They are not significantly different but you should not downgrade to prior generation processors.
