Hi everyone,

I just updated to iWeb 1.1 via software update, and now I can't publish anything to my .Mac page. I updated, and then made a new page (within my we site) in iWeb. I then pasted a long text-document from Pages in it, and hit Publish. It "created" the page, then said it would upload it. Well in the last step of uploading, I got an error saying "An error occurred while publishing file “/Web/Sites/iWeb/Site/Rotary-2006 files/DSC01793framed.png”."
That file path is pointing to a page (a photo album) that was already published, and had been on the web for a while. I haven't deleted any of the pictures associated with it, so I don't know why it's having a problem. But none of the pictures are in the .png format, so I think the _framed.png portion of that file path may be pointing to one of iWeb's template files.

I even tried removing that photo page and re-publishing, but then it picks another picture out of another page that, again, should not be affected with this uploading a new text-only page.

Any one had the same problem?

Thanks!

You can add me to the list of users who are now unable to update their .Mac website after updating to iWeb 1.1 . Each time I attempt to upload I receive an error related to a different image on a different page. I have given up..

Has anyone contacted Apple by phone in regards to this issue? If this indeed related to increased traffic on .Mac servers then they need to have iWeb provide an error message that explains the issue clearly.

THIS is very true... if iWeb would have told me that it was experiencing extremely heavy server traffic, I would have stopped thinking about it and would have come back in a few hours/days. I assume everybody else would have done the same thing, and wouldn't have tried over and over again to get their dear website to update/publish! They could have saved us all hours and hours of time by simply stating what the real problem was!

To troubleshoot my issue I deleted my site from idisk and attempted to publish all pages from iWeb again. Of course this attempt was again met with an error message related to yet another image on my page.

However, to see if anything was posted at all I went to my website and found that iWeb had upload the complete site minus the more advanced features such as Blog Comments, Counters and although I was able to enter a search term using the Blog Search tool, it did not return any results.

Though the error messages refer to only images I did not see any of them missing on the online site. I am rather dissappointed that all of my counters appear to be reset as well, at least from the .Mac homepage, counters do not appear on the online site for any of my pages.

I will say I am VERY impressed the perfomance enhancements... my pages load at leat 30% faster now.

Question: Those people who are having issues uploading their site, have you deviated from the standard iWeb Template? I know I have adjusted Templates extensively and have several photo pages on a separate site linked back to my main site... I am wondering if extensive editing to templates may be causing these issues.

My Domain size is over 300 mb and has had no post-processing changes.
