Again I would recommend you all to reset your iPhone completely, and NOT restore it from a previous backup. It's a bit of a hazzle, but you can allways sync most of your data back on the phone without restoring from backup if you activate all the syncing and remember to do this one time before resetting.

I did this the morning after the fix came, because it seemed it did not work for me either. After doing it, my phone (almost for the first time since buying my iPhone 5) has been working normal with normal battery drainage. I also use exchange mail and calendar!

If you try this, it would be nice if you guys cold tell your result here for others to see!

I did my upgrade 2 nights ago. Backup - Upgrade - Reset (Erase Everything) - Restore.

The phone has been on since 8:30am, it's now 11pm, just light phone, use, what's app, messages, wifi browsing, exchange email/calender. It's now at 45%. I am pretty satisfied with it. Befre 6.1.2 upgrade by 5pm, I would be 40%, and by 9pm, I would be <20%. For me this battery issue is pretty much solved with 6.1.2. Also I noticed that my phone (4s) dont seem to get hot that much anymore. :-)

Reset and start a new device seems to work. im still at 100% after 32 mins standby 10 mins usage. looking good so far. BTW, since it's the first time i've done this, is there a way i can get back my apps, music and contacts when i did my backup without using "restore backup"? i also did a "transfer purchases" before resetting my 4S. What should I do next??? Thanks

I know this is probably too late for most of you, but I learned with my iPhone3, never ever upgrade your ios while you own the phone, or you are asking for a universe of trouble and problems. I upgraded my iPhone 3 ios and the phone slowed down to a crawl, the calendar became almost impossible to use and battery life dwindled. From what I have read about every ios upgrade since then, the story hasn't changed.

Same here! My battery life is terrible on Iphone 4S since I updated to 6.1.2. Iphone fully charged at 11 PM when I go to sleep. In the morning dead, completely empty! I tried everything, reboot, remove all settings, complete rebuilt without old settings, rebuild spare device at our office...... Nothing works so spare your self the time and agony. No abnormal data usage or processes as far as I can see with battery and data monitoring apps. I sure hope Apple comes with a fix soon.
