    Lower number is better. Usually -60 db is almost perfect signal. I get -75 here at work most of the time. At around -120 to -130 you get 1 bar of service. -90 is not good but about in the middle for a signal on the phone. That means the transmitter is turned to a higher power just to maintain a link with the cell tower. That in turn uses more battery than normal.

    Can you think of a reason that this started with 6.1.1?  Same place, same usage, same apps.  Again I did an entire restore after 6.1.2 and set up the phone as new.  It is just not lasting even 75% of what it did even in this area that it did before.

    No. Only thing I can suggest is bring it to an apple store and have them look at it. Also another thing you can do is let it run all the way down until it dies completely on it's own and then recharge to a full charge. Sometimes the battery percentage gets thrown off with an update and needs to be recalibrated.

    So you let it die completely? Not 20% or even 1%. Let the phone turn off on its own and then charge it up again. You may have to do it 2 or 3 times before it recalibrates itself.

    Yes. I have let it turn itself off all the way dead at least once that I know of since 6.1.2.  I will do it again a couple times if you say it takes 2 or 3.

    Give that a try and if it doesn't work then I suggest taking it to the apple store.

    Imagine if Ford had a problem with 0.001% of its cars.  That's OK.  Those cars can blow up - look at all the cars that work....  What a bogus argument.  People are on here looking for help and they're meant to give you a break?  Why?  Am I supposed to take it on the chin that my phone doesn't work just because most other people's phones do?  You give me a break.

    Whether or not KC thinks we are whiners is not important.

     

    What is important is that this problem with battery drainage started in October 2012 and Apple did not release an attempted fix until roughly 2 weeks ago.

     

    It is unaceptable in the year 2013 that people have to wait for a potenial fix for almost 4+ months. This is not 1974. Computers are not rare things and it does not take a team brainiacs from MIT to solve complex coding problems.

    Has Last night done the telephone full charge to batteries! in 5 hours in mode of the waiting charge to batteries 100 percents! I you have advised to do several full cycles of the charge and category to batteries from 0-100%.

    Hi all, u might wanna have a look at this website, had the same problem of battery draining really fast after upgrading to the ios 6.1.2, so i was looking everywhere for some tips and I believe i finally found it by following the first and 2nd step on this website, I think my battery is back to how it was before upgrading to the ios6.1.2.     I decided to try letting my phone completely drain and then charging it to 100% a couple of times and it seemed to fix my issue.

    Perfect - thank you.  I did the same and battery levels back to normal and no more overheating. I don't know if it was reinstalling exchange email or switching off push email (or both) but the combination of both has worked. I stopped updating my MacBook because of similar issues and it looks like I need to stop updating my iPhone too.  Shame but apple need to work on these issues long term.   I hope others have been able to resolve their problems too.

    Guys, it's not your phone. My wife and I have the same 4s. She mistakenly "upgraded" to 6.0 when it came out and has had rediculous battery life ever since.  Apple is basking in the glory that their OS is so popular and that everyone is upgrading because they LOVE it. I say it is because we keep hoping they FIX their problems. I sure am glad I didn't "upgrade" and my wife wishes she could just "put it back".
