Q: I bought a mac pro on feb 2012, how come airplay mirroring working on my computer?

About AirPlay Mirroring in OS X Mountain Lion

OS X is good, but it has many versions.  You need 10.8 for airplay.  WHat does it say in About this mac... in the Apple Menu?

Also, I'm fairly sure you mean MACBOOK PRO (laptop), for which a 2012 model is fine, but no models of MAC PRO (desktop) support Airplay Mirroring.

You need to be using Mac 0S 10.8 to have AirPlay Mirroring. If you are running 10.7.5, it doesn't have that capability.

Your MacBook will support it if you upgrade the OS.

A Mac Pro is a desktop computer. 

A Macbook Pro is a laptop computer.

It's an important distinction, because they are different computers and have different capabilities. You're talking about a Macbook Pro, not a Mac Pro.
