Can the OS X 10.5.8 be upgraded to anything else or is it to outdated?

If you have a PowerBook, 10.5.8 is the end of the line.
If you're using a PowerPC Mac such as a PowerBook, it can't be upgraded further.
If you're using an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.
