Q: Apple TV Airplay mirroring does not work

Hi!

 

So I have the 2012 Macbook Pro with Retina Display. I see the option of Airplay mirroring on my mac to my Apple TV but when i click on it, it blinks twice to adjust the resolution and nothing happens. It's been doing this for everytime i try mirroring my display.
