Ipad 2 power/top button jammed and stuck

Hi guys, I have only had my Ipad for just over a week and out of no where the top black power button has seemed to become jammed/stuck. I can still turn off the ipad or put the screen to rest, but with an annoying amount of force. Nothing has been dropped on it or put against it for this to happen, so would this fault be covered under warrenty?
