Real player appearance

Hi everyone! I've been using real player for a long time and have been really happy with it but I can't say that I love the way it looks. So I was wondering if there could be a way of matching its appearance with the rest of the mac os x theme that most apps offer.

Hi Spyros. To change the way realplayer looks you have to change the player's skins. To do this right click on RealPlayer and choose 'Show Package Contents'. In RealPlayer/Resources/Contents/Resources, find 'growBoxDown.png', 'growBoxUp.png' and 'playerWindowBackground.png' and change them to whatever shape, color or texture you like with an image editing application like Photoshop. I just made a brushed metal theme and if want to try it out you can find it here. I am also thinking of making an aqua theme and maybe some color variations. Let me know if you have any particular ideas in mind that you think might look cool with real player.

Wow! Realplayer with the iReal Skin looks just great and is in perfect harmony with the OS X system design and I think it actually looks better than the Quicktime player now. It would be nice if Apple came up with a new Quicktime player design and maybe get rid of the brushed metal effect which in my opinion is starting to look a bit outdated, just like they did with iTunes. Well done Dott and thanks so much for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚
