MacOs X 10.8 desktops change order by themselves

Dear all,

I am running MacOsX 10.8.2

I have enabled 4 desktops. I organize my workflow according to the placement of these desktops (by the way, I find it unconfortable that now the desktops are accessed in a linear fashion, not in the "box" fashion previously) .

I usually use ctrl-arrow keys to switch between desktops.

I have a few full screen apps as well.

I have a real annoying problem.

without any apparent reason, the desktops switch places.

Previous desktop 3 becomes desktop 4, a full screen app moves from last to the second. etc. etc.

It is really really annoying for me.

Why this might be happening?

Is there a way to prevent it?

System Preferences, Mission Control, uncheck "Automatically rearrange spaces..."

Thanks - I had the same problem and I hated the reorganization of windows. It is much easier to me to find something (in a tile view only) where I left or found last time than finding something visually based on a new logical order (recently used). In list view the recent logic would make sense, but not in a tile view.

Thanks
