Is there a way to restore the IOS5 Greek voiceover voice in IOS6?

I have a blind friend, and avid user of apple products. Recently, we upgraded his ipod touch to the IOS6, and the voice is much worse than the IOS5 one. Is there a way to switch back to the old voice or the old IOS version?
