Feb 25, 2013 10:06 AM in response to Foositoby runr25,The only thing I have disabled on my phone is the iCloud documents sinking under cellular data. That worked like a charm for me and everything is back to normal.

Feb 25, 2013 10:08 AM in response to Lawrence Finchby Shams13,I did try restoring the IOS using itunes and set it up as new phone. Tested it, and bettery life is better but still usage time is same as stand by. Something is keeping the phone cpu busy in the background and draining the battery. This happened since i upgraded to 6.1.1
Any comments?

Have you tried re-enabling syncing? The problem may not come back, as the queue has been cleared.

If you restored as New, did not add any apps, did not add any email accounts, and your usage and standby are the same then there is something seriously wrong with your phone. Assuming it isn't jailbroken, of course.

Feb 25, 2013 10:57 AM in response to Alister452by lola839,This phone was a dream until I "upgraded" to 6.1 - UGH! Then the battery caved and has been doing so since. I thought 6.1.2 was going to fix the battery issue but it hasn't and possibly made it worse. I have gone through all the settings but no help. I'm open to any suggestions. If there are no suggestions then....DEAR APPLE, PLS FIX THE BATTERY ISSUE ASAP. IM BEGINNING TO HATE THE IPHONE 5. Actually I'm beginning to hate Apple engineers, programmers, developers....
Thanks

Feb 25, 2013 12:18 PM in response to Lawrence Finchby kasintexas,Lawrence, I have followed many of your tips and it appears that my iPhone 4 is now working correctly. After the initial download of 6.1.2, my 4 sucked the battery down pretty quick. So, I followed the these steps:
- Allow battery to go flat, then recharge.
- Power up the phone
- Delete all my email accounts
- Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
- Check to make sure that Settings>iCloud>Documents & Data is OFF; do the same with Photo Stream
- Do a Reset (Sleep & Home).
After the phone came back on, then I added back my email accounts and have had no more crazy battery drain issues. It seems as though the download doesn't always do a good job in prepping the phone environment for the new load and thus, some old processes may still be left chugging along. I will definitely keep this process in mind for subsequent iOS releases! Thanks very much for your help!

Feb 25, 2013 12:51 PM in response to Alister452by dmp1101,I am having the same issue...as i just sat here and watched it go down 10% in less than an hour - and wasn't doing anything major on my phone. I am also having the problem that I see some others are as well - it is not charging above 97-98% when I charge it. I noticed some battery draining issues with the last upgrade, but nothing like this latest one, it is insane at how fast it is draining now.
