    I have also updated my iPhone 5 to 6.1.2 and experienced decreased battery life. I have WIFI on all the time and spend most of the day connected to WIFI. I am also connected to an exchange account but have been since I purchased the phone. What ever the drain, please find it and fix it.

    Deleting Exchange account, turning the phone off and on, and setting up Exchange again has solved the problem.

    After a few days trying all of the great suggestions posted here, I was still unable to shut my 4S down, and the battery drain problem persisted.

    On a whim as a last resort, I did a "Restore iPhone" in iTunes and, instead of restoring from my previous backup, I set it up as a new phone.

    That finall did the trick, although, of course, I had to reinstall and reconfigure all my apps, folders and settings.

    I am also having this problem with the iPhone 5 and the new iOS 6.1.2 update.  My phone was on stand by for most the day and died atleast 3 times faster then it would before the update.  I haven't updated my iPad mini, think I'll wait for that one.

    Hello,

    I am currently an owner of an iPod Touch 4th generation, running IOS 6.1.2. I will be glad to help solve your problem with your iPod/iPad/or iPhone.

    • Guys, I have upgraded to IOS 6.1.2, and I have found that it has helped me. Here are my 2 usage details:

    Usage = 5 Hours, 6 minutes

    Stand-by = 1 Day, 6 hours

    I have 80% battery life remaining.

    Your probably saying what did I do...?

    Well, I would suggest you (as I have been posting and posting, but nobody tries it) is to follow these instructions:

    Battery Drainage Issues (How to solve them):

    1. Update your iPod/iPad/or iPhone to the latest IOS. If you already updated to the latest IOS, please proceed to step 2.
    2. Reset all Settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings
    3. Wait for the iPod/iPad/or iPhone to restart
    4. Once the iPod/iPad/or iPhone has restarted, all the settings have been changed. You may change them back to your personal preference.
    5. Use your  iPod/iPad/or iPhone until the battery dies (until the device turns itself off)
    6. Plug your  iPod/iPad/or iPhone into charge. The trick here, is to leave it 1.5 hours or longer after it reaches 100% --> undisturbed (preferably overnight)
    7. After leaving it 1.5 hours or longer on the charger, you may unplug, and start using. Give it a few days for the battery to Calibrate.

    Can't go back to 6.1.   iTunes won't let you, plus it will void your warranty. Unless you JB? That also voids your warranty. Apple doesn't allow jailbreak or downgrade firmware. Have fun trying. I wouldn't post stuff like that on here. Just have to wait for Apple to fix it, that will be never!

    Simple or not, I think all of us are supproting Apple company, I have all Apple devices at home, can't use anything else expcet Apple. I wish my car audio system just was an apple product, and the screen in car was an ipad, or at least an ipad mini. BUT 6.1.2 UPDATE IS BIG HUGE PAIN! I get "NO SERVICE", I Charged my phone today third time! And the worst part there is only 3G and LTE!!!!! Where is the old normal 2G Switch!!!! I don't need 3G, niether LTE! Without using data connection my phone battery is horrible and 3G makes it worse ..... I don't want to know what will happen with LTE ...

    Please for the sake of anything ... for the sake of holly dollar fix that connection issue, screw battery issue, but connection issue is real deal.

    Kind Regards

    U might want 2 swap sim cards. I did it yesterday and battery performance is good for me on 6.1.2.. (A mix of 4g and wifi).

    Usage= 3hr +

    Standby= 1day 2hr

    62% remaining..

    What gets me really upset is the fact that they deny the problem. I've called them twice and on both times they terminated my call in the middle of the discussion, while their position is that they don't know anything about it!

    Hi I'm using the iPhone 5 and mine was draining battery before the update and now it works beautifully, plus Im using BatteryDoctor for tips on how to save battery. But I didn't update with the first update, I only updated when 6.1.2 came out, coz my first update was 107MB I didnt have to update twice or have to update with the 12MB update, if that affects anything.

    So finally I have fixed the problem but its not what everyone wants to hear or will even know how to do it.

    So I backed up my iPhone 5 manually having only messages, contacts and notes, then I restored the iPhone and put back in the backup without the need for iTunes, I had to do all the settings and and apps again but it didn't take long.

    I will post an update tomorrow and explain in detail what I did
